A University Policy is a rule that has been officially sanctioned by the president of Carnegie Mellon University, and that generally has university-wide applicability.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was established in 1958 and the Civil Engineering Department is part of the institute since its inception. The Department has grown tremendously over the years and is now recognized as one of the major engineering departments in the country.
